Karen Johnson is LinkUp’s CEO and is tasked with overseeing the company’s practices and procedures. As majority owner of LinkUp Communications, her duties include making decisions that affect the company’s resources, operations, and brand identity. Karen also sets strategic goals for the company to embrace.

Karen launched her career in broadcasting as a street reporter for a news/talk station in Tallahassee, FL, then proceeded to work in several markets across the southeast in multiple leadership roles, including: production editor, news director, and morning news anchor.

Switching gears, in the early 2000’s Karen founded Ka You Communications — a Mid-Atlantic based satellite company that provided satellite space segment and equipment integration, partnering nearly exclusively with faith-based broadcasters and churches.

After building a strong client base, she and her husband, Mark, relocated to Florida and – under a new company banner – launched LinkUp Communications. Under the new moniker, the company actively works to expand their portfolio of broadcast services to include satellite space, network design and equipment installation work, and managed services from their network operations center in Denver, CO.

When she’s not actively serving in her role as company mom, Karen can be found haunting local coffee shops in search of the perfect Americano near the company’s home base of Panama City, FL.
